About

After completing my science degree majoring in Human Nutrition at St. F.X.U. I decided to deepen my knowledge of health and focus on healing the whole body. I “naturally” went on to attend the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. For me, Naturopathic Medicine is the perfect blend of science, wholeness, and health. After graduating, I headed straight back to Sydney, Cape Breton where I had the opportunity, to bring naturopathic medicine to Cape Breton. After 4 years I moved to Halifax and started a Multidisciplinary Health Centre. In my eleventh year of practice while expecting our third child my husband and I decided to move to Cape Breton to raise our children. After the birth of our third child Kate we moved to Port Hood, on the west coast of Cape Breton Island where I grew up. With a 7 year old daughter, 5 year old son and 2 year daughter we are thrilled to be living on this beautiful Island.

Health is essential to achieving your goals! It is the bridge between you and your passion! I love helping patients find their energy, become more in tune with their body and become ALIVE. This is why I became a Naturopathic Doctor. I am passionate about giving woman and men the tools to start looking and feeling their best. When women and man get healthy, children, families and communities get healthy. When women and men look and feel their best they become more confident, caring and understanding individuals and that will help children, families and communities thrive!

I work with all ages and specialize in improving digestion, hormone balance, sleep, energy, thyroid and adrenal health, immune function and mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety.

Along with being a mom, a wife, and a mother to three young children I enjoy Yoga, beach time, learning, spending time outdoors with my family and walking. I am on the Board for the Port Hood Co-op, coach Youth Soccer, and sit on the Student Advisory Council for the local Elementary School.
